Making Holiday Hunger a Thing of the Past
Dorchester Holiday Food Club started life as Dorchester Lunch Club in the summer of 2012 when it was recognised that there was no provision of food in the holidays for local school children who would receive free school meals during term time. A group of volunteers from some of the churches in the town got together to cook a hot meal every day serving around 16 families in the canteen of The Thomas Hardye School.
