Little Waitrose in Poundbury donate £200 to Dorchester Family Support

Little Waitrose in Poundbury have kindly donated £200 to Dorchester Family Support. Our treasurer John Weir went to collect the £200 cheque from staff at Waitrose.

With the summer holiday distribution programme about to start at the end of July, this money will go towards helping to provide weekly hampers for families whose children are in receipt of free school meals during term time.

Rising food costs have meant that the cost of providing these hampers has increased significantly, and with soaring bills impacting particularly hard on those with lower incomes, we are expecting demand for these hampers to be high.

We continue to be grateful to all our donors for their generosity without whom none of this would be possible.
